Digital citizenship is often relegated to the peripherals of curriculum. It is indulged if there is time at the end of a technology unit of instruction, or it is addressed at the beginning of a semester for a limited time. However the ability for students to critically explore content and create authentic products is essential now and will continue to be essential. The Applied Digital Skills content uses technology skills to teach users to be wise and gives them time to practice decision-making.
